Quentin Tarantino's extended version of the his epic “The Hateful Eight” became an exclusive for Netflix subscribers with one massive surprise: The movie had been uploaded as a miniseries with four episodes each running approximately 50-55 minutes. Tarantino’s theatrical cut ran 168 minutes, while the four episodes of the extended cut make up 210 minutes.
Since the extended version was in 4 parts opening and closing credits appeared before and after each episode. For this release those credits have been removed and the 4 episodes flow as a single film. It's a cross between the Roadshow version and theatrical with added footage, alternate camera angles and dialogue. It is unique unto itself and although some might think too long to sit through, they'd be surprised at how entertaining it is without even looking at your watch. It's really the way it should be seen.
